Dust Allergy

How do I treat it?

Dust allergies affect people all year round. But with the right weapons and a few little changes around the home, it's easy to keep it under control.

Symptoms vary from person to person which is why there are different types of treatment to choose from. You might find that an antihistamine does the trick but if you've got a stuffy nose too, it can be a good idea to try one with added decongestant.

The BENADRYL® range includes both. As it contains the antihistamine acrivastine, you won't find a faster way to treat all your hay fever symptoms than BENADRYL® Allergy Relief. It gets to work in 15 minutes and lasts for up to 8 hours. Alternatively, opt for round-the-clock control with BENADRYL® One-A-Day. We even have a liquid solution for kids. Remember to ask your pharmacist for advice.

Fight the mites!

Dust mites love living in our homes. After all, who could refuse warm beds, comfy sofas and an unlimited supply of food? But there are steps you can take to make your home less mite-friendly, which should send some of them packing.

  • Hoover your carpets and mattresses at least once a week
  • Invest in allergy-friendly mattress covers
  • Choose blinds instead of curtains
  • Spray curtains or blinds with a fine water mist to stop dust gathering
